Who are we?
Having immigrated to the United States from Jamaica when she was 11 years old, attorney Noyes developed a love of helping people and the law. Shernette knew exactly what she wanted to do from a very young age, and that was to help families with their immigration requirements.
Her family experienced what it takes to go through all the processes and timelines along with the hardships that come with applying for an immigration visa. After understanding all that is entailed to obtain an immigration visa, Shernette decided to put her personal experience and her passion towards help others.
She wanted to share her story and her knowledge so that she could assist others with their immigration visas. So, she went to work...
After receiving her law degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Law, she was admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association in 2011, Shernette established her own law firm - Noyes & Associates.
In 2017, Shernette met Juan Giron Sanchez at a local chapter meeting for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) in New Haven, CT. Their relationship blossomed, and they welcomed their daughter in 2019. In 2020, Shernette convinced Juan to join her at the firm. With his Dominican background, Juan handles all Spanish-speaking clients, making Noyes & Associates a bilingual firm. They got engaged in March of 2021 and tied the knot on September 17, 2022, in the Dominican Republic.
Juan Roberto Girón-Sánchez, JD, is a passionate individual driven by the pursuit of the American Dream. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the United States Virgin Islands, he excelled as an NCAA track and field All-American before dedicating himself to education. Juan's diverse career journey includes experience as a Research Assistant at Yale University Medical School, work as a Spanish linguist in wiretap investigations for esteemed law enforcement agencies, and obtaining a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
A strong believer in empowering men in their family relationships, Juan is dedicated to serving the community. His bilingual expertise extends to areas such as law, immigration, fatherhood, financial literacy, domestic violence, and child abuse prevention. Juan's impactful work has earned him recognition, media appearances, awards for fatherhood initiatives, and involvement in U.S legislative sessions. His experiences in teaching, reporting, advocacy, and not-for-profit management equip him with a versatile skill set to effectuate positive change and empower others.
